TruePayout: Know what you're paid.

TruePayout Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 October 2026 Effective from: 23 October 2026

These Terms are a contract between you and TruePayout, an MSME registered under Udyam (UDYAM-KR-03-0777667), of Bengaluru (Urban), Karnataka, India (postal address for legal notices on request at grievance@truepayout.in) ("TruePayout", "we", "us"). They cover your use of the website and app at truepayout.in (the "Service").

Please read them. When you tick the box at sign-up and create an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

These Terms work together with:

If any of these conflict with these Terms on a specific point, the more specific document wins on that point.

1. What TruePayout does

1.1. TruePayout helps marketplace sellers check whether they were paid correctly. You download your own reports (for example payments, orders, returns and settlement reports) from your Meesho, Amazon India or Flipkart seller panel, and your bank statement. You upload them to TruePayout. We compare them and show you differences, payout explanations and suggested claim text.

1.2. What we do not do:

  • We never log in to your marketplace seller account or your bank account.
  • We never ask for your marketplace or bank passwords. Never share them with us.
  • We never file claims, tickets or disputes on your behalf. We prepare suggested claim text. You decide whether to file it, and you file it yourself.
  • We do not collect money from marketplaces for you, and we do not hold your money.

1.3. Our results are evidence-based suggestions. A difference is a question, not money owed. A marketplace may have a valid reason for a difference that your reports do not show. We do not promise that any marketplace will accept a claim or pay you anything.

1.4. TruePayout is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Meesho, Amazon or Flipkart. See our Disclaimer.

2. Who can use TruePayout

2.1. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract under Indian law. TruePayout is not for children.

2.2. You must use TruePayout for your own selling business, or for a business you are authorised to act for. If you sign up for a business (for example a company, LLP or partnership), you confirm you have authority to accept these Terms for it. In that case "you" means both you and that business.

2.3. Many of our users are sole proprietors. Nothing in these Terms takes away any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other law that cannot be waived by contract.

3. Your account

3.1. You can sign up with your email (we send a magic link or one-time code) or with Google sign-in.

3.2. Give us accurate details and keep them up to date.

3.3. Keep access to your email and Google account secure. Anyone who can open your email or Google account may be able to open your TruePayout account. Tell us at once at support@truepayout.in if you think someone has accessed your account without permission.

3.4. You are responsible for activity on your account, unless it happened because of our fault.

3.5. One person or business per account, unless you are on a Business plan that allows more. Do not sell, share or transfer your account.

4. Your data and your responsibilities

4.1. You confirm that:

  • the reports and bank statements you upload are your own business records, or you have the right to use them;
  • you have the right to let us process them as described in our Privacy Notice; and
  • the files are genuine and you have not edited them to change amounts, dates, statuses or references.

4.2. Accuracy. Our results depend on the files you give us. If a file is incomplete, wrong, edited, out of date or in an unexpected format, our results may be wrong. Check every result against your seller panel before you rely on it or file a claim.

4.3. Other people's data. Marketplace reports can contain your buyers' details. Our app is built so that your browser does not read customer names, addresses or phone numbers, and only sends the limited columns described in our Privacy Notice. Do not try to get around this, and do not upload other people's personal data to us in notes, claim text or support messages unless it is truly needed.

4.4. Claims you file. You are responsible for any claim you file with a marketplace. Read and edit the suggested text before you use it. Only file claims you honestly believe are correct. Follow each marketplace's own rules and deadlines.

4.5. Your own records. Keep your own copies of your reports. TruePayout is not a backup or record-keeping service for your business or tax records.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • upload files that are fake, altered or not yours, or use TruePayout to prepare false or misleading claims;
  • upload malware, or try to break, overload, scan, probe or bypass the security or bot checks of the Service;
  • try to access another user's account or data;
  • copy, scrape, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows this and cannot be excluded;
  • use TruePayout to build a competing product;
  • use the Service in a way that breaks any law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000; or
  • misuse the names or trademarks of any marketplace in connection with TruePayout.

6. Fees, credits and refunds

6.1. Free check. You can upload your files and see a summary for free. The free summary shows the total of suspected differences, how strong the evidence is for each type, and why, without the order numbers.

6.2. Unlock fee. To see full details and claim text for a check, you pay a one-time unlock fee:

  • 10% of the total value of the strong-evidence differences found in that check;
  • minimum Rs 49;
  • free if the total strong-evidence differences are under Rs 300;
  • maximum Rs 50,000 per unlock.

The exact amount, including any GST, is shown on the payment screen before you pay. "Strong evidence" means a difference our checks classify as strongly supported by the data in your files, as explained on the results screen.

6.3. The fee is for the analysis, not for a result. You pay for unlocking the analysis and claim text. The fee is not a share of money you recover, and it does not depend on whether a marketplace pays you.

6.4. Credits for rejected claims. If a marketplace rejects a claim you filed for a strong-evidence difference, you can get credit toward future unlocks. The rules are in our Fees, Refunds and Cancellation Policy. Credits have no cash value.

6.5. Investigation help and Business plans. Investigation help is a separate service, quoted to you in writing before you agree to it. Business plans for sellers with multiple accounts are priced as shown on our pricing page or in a written quote. The scope and price in the quote or plan page apply.

6.6. Payments. Payments are processed by Razorpay, a licensed payment aggregator. We never see or store your full card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking password. Razorpay's own terms also apply to your payment.

6.7. Invoices. We email you an invoice after payment.

6.8. Refunds. Refunds, double payments, failed payments and cancellations are covered in our Fees, Refunds and Cancellation Policy.

6.9. Price changes. We may change prices for the future. A price change never affects an unlock you have already paid for.

7. Intellectual property

7.1. Your data stays yours. You own your reports, your data and your notes. You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process them only to provide the Service to you, to keep it secure, and as described in our Privacy Notice.

7.2. Claim text. Once you pay for an unlock, you may use, copy and edit the claim text and results for your own business, including filing claims and sharing them with your accountant or advisers.

7.3. Our Service. The TruePayout software, design, checks, rules, text and brand belong to us or our licensors. Apart from the rights in these Terms, you get no rights in them.

7.4. Anonymised insights. We may create combined statistics that do not identify you or any person (for example, "how often a type of difference appears"). We use them to improve our checks.

7.5. Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.

8. Availability and changes to the Service

8.1. We try to keep TruePayout available and working, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted.

8.2. Marketplaces change their report formats. When that happens, some checks may stop working until we update them.

8.3. We may change or remove features. If we remove a paid feature you have already paid for and not yet used, we will give you a refund or credit for the unused part.

9. Disclaimers

9.1. TruePayout gives information and evidence-based suggestions. It is not legal, tax, accounting or financial advice. For those, speak to a qualified professional.

9.2. We do not guarantee that:

  • every difference will be found;
  • every difference shown is actually owed to you; or
  • any marketplace will accept a claim or pay any amount.

9.3. Apart from what these Terms expressly say, and to the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available".

10. Limitation of liability

10.1. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for all claims connected with the Service, in any 12-month period, will not be more than the higher of (a) the total fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim, or (b) Rs 2,000.

10.2. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for:

  • money a marketplace does not pay you, or a claim it rejects;
  • loss of profit, revenue, business or goodwill;
  • indirect or consequential loss; or
  • loss caused by wrong, incomplete or edited files you uploaded, or by claims you chose to file.

10.3. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, our failure to protect your personal data as required by law, or anything else that cannot be limited under Indian law.

11. Indemnity

You agree to compensate us for reasonable losses, costs and legal fees we suffer because a third party (for example a marketplace or a person whose data you uploaded) makes a claim against us that arises from:

  • files you uploaded without the right to do so;
  • false or misleading claims you filed; or
  • your breach of these Terms or the law.

This does not apply to the extent the loss was caused by our own fault. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you take part in handling it.

12. Suspension and closing your account

12.1. You can stop using TruePayout and delete your account at any time from the app (Account > Delete my account and data). Our Privacy Notice explains what we delete and what the law requires us to keep.

12.2. We may suspend or close your account if:

  • you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms;
  • we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or a security risk;
  • a court, regulator or law requires it; or
  • you do not pay amounts you owe us.

12.3. Unless the law, a security risk or an investigation stops us, we will tell you first, give you the reason and, where it is fixable, give you a reasonable time to fix it. You can challenge our decision through our Grievance Redressal Policy.

12.4. If we close your account without fault on your part, we will refund any unused prepaid amounts. Sections 4, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14 continue after your account closes.

13. Governing law and disputes

13.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

13.2. Talk to us first. If you have a problem, please contact our Grievance Officer (see Grievance Redressal Policy). Most issues can be sorted out quickly.

13.3. Courts. Subject to clause 13.4, the courts at Bengaluru, India have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms.

13.4. Your consumer rights. If you are a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, you may also approach the National Consumer Helpline or a Consumer Commission, including the one where you live or work, as that Act allows. If your complaint is about personal data, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once the relevant provisions apply, after using our grievance process.

14. General

14.1. Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms. For important changes, we will email you or show a notice in the app at least 15 days before the change takes effect, unless the change is required by law sooner. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect. Changes never apply to a payment already made.

14.2. Electronic contract. These Terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000. Ticking the box and creating an account is your acceptance; no physical signature is needed.

14.3. Language. If we provide these Terms in another language, the English version applies if there is a difference in meaning.

14.4. Events outside our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events we cannot reasonably control, such as outages of our hosting providers, internet failures, natural disasters or government action.

14.5. Transfer. We may transfer our rights and duties under these Terms to a business that takes over TruePayout, if your rights are not reduced. We will tell you if this happens. You may not transfer your account without our written consent.

14.6. If part is invalid. If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid, the rest still applies.

14.7. No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

14.8. Whole agreement. These Terms and the documents linked in them are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service. A written quote for investigation help or a Business plan adds to them for that service.
