Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: [date]

This policy sets out what you may and may not do on TruePayout. It is part of our Terms of Service. It protects you, other sellers, the marketplaces and us.

1. Use TruePayout honestly

You may use TruePayout to check payouts for businesses you own or are authorised to act for, and to prepare honest claims to marketplaces.

2. Data you upload

You must not upload:

  1. reports or bank statements of a business you do not own or are not authorised to act for;
  2. files you have edited to create or increase a difference;
  3. files that contain malware, scripts or anything designed to harm a system; or
  4. personal data of other people that is not needed for the Check, beyond what normally appears in marketplace reports. (Your browser removes customer names, addresses and phone numbers before upload. Do not try to get around this.)

3. Claims

You must not use TruePayout to:

  1. file a claim you know is false, misleading or already paid;
  2. file the same claim more than once, unless the marketplace asks you to resubmit;
  3. change claim text in a way that misstates the facts or the evidence; or
  4. help anyone commit fraud against a marketplace, a bank, a customer or us.

4. Payments and Credits

You must not:

  1. get around or tamper with the payment process or the fee calculation, for example by changing the app's code or the data it sends to lower your fee;
  2. mark claims "Rejected" when they were not filed or not rejected, to get Credits;
  3. make false refund requests or chargebacks; or
  4. open several accounts to misuse free Checks, Credits or refunds.

5. Security and the service

You must not:

  1. try to access another user's account or data;
  2. probe, scan or test our systems for weaknesses, except under section 7;
  3. overload, disrupt or attack the service;
  4. use bots, scrapers or automated tools to access TruePayout, except through any interface we provide for that purpose;
  5. copy, reverse engineer or decompile the service, except where the law allows it and cannot be excluded by contract;
  6. remove or hide any notice, label or disclaimer; or
  7. resell, rent or sub-license TruePayout, or offer it as part of your own service, without our written agreement.

6. Law and other people's rights

You must not use TruePayout:

  1. in breach of any Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023;
  2. in breach of your agreement with a marketplace;
  3. to infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy; or
  4. to harass, threaten or impersonate anyone, including marketplace staff.

7. Reporting security issues

If you find a security weakness, please email [security email] with details. Do not access data that is not yours, and do not disclose the issue publicly until we have had a reasonable time to fix it. We will not take legal action against good-faith reports that follow these rules.

8. What happens if this policy is broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may:

  1. warn you;
  2. remove content or reverse Credits that were obtained by misuse;
  3. suspend or close your account under section 16 of the Terms of Service; or
  4. report the matter to the authorities where the law requires it, or where there is fraud or a threat to safety.

Where we can, we will tell you the reason and give you a chance to respond first.

9. Reporting misuse

Email [email] if you see TruePayout being misused.
